Everything CampFromTheCouch does, so you don't have to hit refresh

One tool for finding and catching campsite cancellations, built for the way people actually plan trips, not just exact-date lookups.

Finding a spot

Wide coverage

457 parks across 6 reservation systems in Canada. See them all, system by system, on the coverage page.

Flexible dates, not just exact nights

Watch exact dates, or "any 2 nights together" across a window up to 60 days, filtered by party size, pad count, equipment (tent, van, trailer), or pinned to specific sites only.

Search by location & map

See the closest parks with availability in the next week on a map: good for "anywhere will do," not just the one park on your list.

Booking levels

Check how booked a park already is, night by night, before you set a watch: free for the next 30 nights, the whole reservable season for supporters.

Not signed in yet: free accounts already get the next 30 nights. See every access level →

Getting told

Four ways to hear about it

Pick any mix of Discord (your own webhook), web push to your phone or laptop, ntfy (a free push app, no account needed), or email for each watch, each with a "send test" button so you know it works, and checks run as often as every 12 minutes free, every 4 for supporters.

A backup for your backup plan

If every channel you picked has trouble on a given check, we automatically send that alert to your other verified destinations instead, so you still hear about it, and you can pause any channel without losing its setup.

No pay-to-win, polite by design

Supporting never buys priority: no one pays to hear about an opening first. It only speeds up how often your own watches scan, not who gets the ping. See Support the project.

We're polite to the booking sites too: identical watches share one check, checks are rate-limited with jitter and per-host caps, and everything backs off automatically when a booking site has a bad day.

Planning together

Base camp: plan with your crew supporter

Start a Planning Group and get one trip home page that shows what's decided, what's still open, and whose turn it is to do something next, then hold sites together when reservations open so nobody double-books. Joining a friend's group is always free, full access.

Friends first

Add friends with a quick two-way opt-in (no one-sided requests left hanging), then set your blackout dates once in Settings and they'll apply automatically to every group you're in.

Go-live alerts supporter

Follow the parks you love and get pinged a week ahead, the night before, and the moment reservations open for the season, so you're ready when the whole season drops at once.

Calendar feeds

Subscribe your watches, groups, and blackout dates to your own calendar app (Google, Apple, Outlook) as a private, read-only feed. Set it up once from Settings.

Around the campfire

Weather, as a bonus

Every place we cover weather for gets a forecast and air-quality page, handy but not the last word: every page links straight out to yr.no, SpotWX, and FireSmoke.ca so you can cross-check before you decide.

The helicopter shuttle

Not just campsites: we also watch the Mount Assiniboine Lodge helicopter shuttle, so a cancelled seat doesn't slip by unnoticed.

Take it with you

Install it as an app for a full-screen, no-app-store experience, and leave your watches page open: it refreshes itself with a live countdown to the next check, so you're truly not the one hitting refresh.

No warranty an alert arrives, no liability for booking or weather outcomes, and no pay-to-win, ever: full details on the Terms page. What we store (and don't) is on the Privacy page; every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can delete your whole account yourself, anytime, no waiting on us.
