What's new
Your watches page now checks itself
It quietly refreshes a few seconds after each watch's next scheduled check, so you can leave the tab open and watch it update instead of hammering reload. It pauses itself when you switch to another tab, and stops after half an hour idle, so it won't run forever in a forgotten window.
yr.no, SpotWX, and FireSmoke, one tap away
Every weather page now links straight out to a few other forecasts for the same spot: yr.no's daily table, SpotWX's model viewer, and, where the smoke maps cover it, FireSmoke.ca. Camp's weather page is handy, but it's not the only word on the subject. These let you cross-check in one click.
Watches can now cover up to 60 days
Set a single watch across a window as long as two months instead of a much shorter cap. Good for a trip where your dates are still loosely up for grabs.
Base Camp: a new way to plan a trip with your crew
Base Camp is a from-scratch redesign of group trip planning: one simple home page for your group that shows what's decided, what's still open, and whose turn it is to do something next. Set your dates together, coordinate who's bringing what, and get ready for the morning reservations open, all in one place. The classic trip-planning pages are still there too, side by side, while we see which one people like better.
Weather for more than one place
The weather page grew beyond a single mountain hut: pick from several locations, each with its own forecast, air quality, and a look back at how the forecast changed as your trip got closer.
Air quality on the weather page
Alongside temperature and precipitation, weather pages now show the official Air Quality Health Index and pollutant forecasts, so smoke season is part of the picture instead of something you check somewhere else.
More ways to get notified
Alerts can now reach you over ntfy (a free push app, no account needed) or straight to your phone or desktop via web push, on top of Discord and email. Mix and match per watch, and test any channel with one click before you rely on it.
Booking levels: see how full a park already is
Before you set a watch, check how booked a park's season already is, night by night, so you know whether you're chasing a long shot or a good bet.
